The Grandma Star wins 1st place in regional NFPW contest

The Grandma Star has won first place in the regional competition of the 2017 National Federation of Press Women’s At-Large Professional Communications Contest.
The book will be entered into the NFPW national contest.

“Susan Dudley Gold has created a sensitive, engaging and ultimately joyful book. At first, I was concerned that the text was too personal, too specific to the grandma-granddaughter relationship (therefore leaving out the reader, who was not part of this very close duo). But the story takes a heartfelt turn with which all readers can identify, and ends in a tremendously satisfying way. I think this book could be an important tool in dealing with a loved one’s death.”
